Today we took a little trip out to\u00a0Blagdon Farm Shop<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0at the Milkhope Centre, and what a treat it was! With Christmas just around the corner, we couldn\u2019t think of a better place to shop local, pick up thoughtful gifts, and stock the kitchen with incredible seasonal produce.<\/p>\n

The shop itself is just beautiful: warm, welcoming, and filled to the brim with quality local food and gifts. We have to say that the lady at the till was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Every corner is thoughtfully laid out, making you want to slow down and browse. From the butcher counter to the shelves of jams and chutneys, it\u2019s clear that Blagdon is a place where passion for food really shines.<\/p>\n

A Glorious Steak Pie (and More!)<\/h3>\n

Of course, we couldn\u2019t leave empty handed. The highlight of our visit? A\u00a0glorious steak pie<\/strong>\u00a0from their in-house kitchen – golden pastry, rich filling, and utterly satisfying. Pies are what Blagdon does best, and they really do live up to their reputation.<\/p>\n

Alongside the pies, their\u00a0cheese counter<\/strong>\u00a0is heaven for anyone planning a Christmas cheeseboard, while the\u00a0fudge selection<\/strong>\u00a0makes a perfect stocking filler (if you can resist eating it yourself first!).<\/p>\n

Blagdon isn\u2019t just about indulgence – their\u00a0fresh fruit and vegetables<\/strong>\u00a0are just as special. We were particularly taken with the vibrant displays, and couldn\u2019t resist snapping a photo of their\u00a0stunning purple cauliflowers<\/strong> (see gallery below). These little seasonal gems are proof that shopping local can bring colour and excitement to your table as well as unbeatable flavour.<\/p>\n
